Cougar Construction was founded in 1998. What began in the Northwest has steadily expanded, with a growing customer base and the successful delivery of larger, more complex projects. Today, Jake Sannan serves as the President of Cougar Construction Inc.
Cougar Construction Inc. entered a new chapter in 2025 when Quanta Services acquired Wilson Construction Company and its subsidiaries—Cougar Construction and Wilson Utility Helicopters—after decades of being privately held by the Wilson family. This decision was made with the best interests of employees, the Wilson family, and the long-term future of the company in mind. The acquisition will propel Wilson, Cougar and Wilson Utility Helicopters forward with greater growth opportunities and many more years of success, all while upholding the values established 73 years ago.
